Everlasting was written one year after the release of "A Walk through Time," and within the first two years of embarking on my musical career. The album reflects the energy and life force that were a result of overcoming the obstacles I faced during these early years. The more I overcame and began to experience success as an artist, the more I was driven into a place of optimism and hope for the future as well as excitement about the possibilities that lie ahead. It was a new beginning. An exciting musical journey beyond my wildest dreams was just beginning to take shape and I knew what I needed to do, as if being guided to follow a calling. It was from a place of
unwavering belief in my vision, and of drive and determination that the album was born. Nature was always my constant companion, and the state of humanity and my longing for unity and peace were the window through which my inspiration flowed. The album reflects the many dreams and visions I was building not only in my own life but visions I held for the world at large; understanding, compassion, peace, tolerance, acceptance, love, and romance were just a few of the motivations you will hear in the music. The desire to express and to create during this time was strong and grew stronger with each composition I wrote. Powerful
synchronicities
and connections beyond my understanding began to take place at critical points during the completion of the album and as my musical
career
unfolded. I would take long breaks between writing each composition to sit alone in my favorite natural sanctuary; a little hill near my home where I spent many hours meditating, observing, and listening with deep clarity, and
presence
to the expression of life and nature all around me. I was re-connecting to the timeless and formless essence that lies in all of us and in everything... the inner space that lies beyond the mind. Each composition was born from this place and came through the gaps in my mind activity. As a result, the album reflects the mystery of life, encompassing the great beauty in the expanse of the unknown. It is my hope that "Everlasting" helps connect you closer as it has for me to the beautiful mystery that surrounds us all. I encourage you to take a moment to watch the movie at www.attractworldpeace.com where one of the compositions from Everlasting, "Hope" later found a home.
